Craft Party
The craft party is a great idea for letting creative young minds run wild. For this party there are a number of possibilities including painting, building, beading etc. For the party that we attended we got to paint a ceramic figurine. Mine was a horse. We were also given a small canvas square with the outline of a horse on it to paint and decorate with glitter.

Though unusual, this party was heaps of fun. We were able to create things and talk with each other at the same time.
Perhaps the best thing about this party was that we got to take home our beautiful works of art when we left. We will always have our little figurines and pictures to look at and remember what a great time we had at the party.
Your local craft store or a Spotlight store stock a wide range of items children can decorate and make depending on your child’s interests from trinket boxes to photo frames to door hangers. The Warehouse has a wide range of canvas squares children can paint.
It is advisable to set up a table outside under cover or in the shade as the children will take a while to complete their items. Cover the table with a sheet of plastic to prevent it getting damaged.
This party can be held in your own backyard or at a local park around Ipswich but you may need access to some water if trying to wash paint brushes. If holding the party at a park you would need to be organized with all items needed for the activities.
However, for parents who are not arty or crafty, do not fear there are plenty of businesses that cater for this type of party.
