Face Painting Party
There was an air of excitement about the face painting party. Which design to be painted on my face? This one, no that! We were like a kid in a candy store (or in my case a chocolate shop) with all the designs to choose from. Watching each selection and the design emerge on each child’s face was entertaining in itself. Younger and older siblings were also encouraged to join in the fun. Look at this fabulous woofie – can we keep it?

While the faces were being painted other party activities were being played such as:
• Pass the parcel
• Lolly hunt
• Musical cushions (an adaptation of musical chairs)
These sorts of games allowed the children to play some games without missing out on getting their face painted. The children did not have to line up. Mum thought the party was great too as there was minimal organisation and stress for her.
This party can be done in any park in Ipswich. Parks which provide a little more privacy are more ideal. Parks with children’s playgrounds are an added bonus for entertaining at these parties.
