Ipswich Nature CentreIpswich Nature Centre at Queens Park provides a miniature Zoo experience in our own backyard. I loved discovering and learning about all the animals. The landscape is designed to mimic the local habitat the animals would normally live in. It was really great to see the animals up close!

Georgina and I both loved watching the wombats and the kangaroos. There was even a large menagerie that housed many different types of birds that live in Ipswich and Australia. The Park has recently been upgraded to add some wonderful features. Heaps of new animals have found their home in the park. We had a lot of fun on our last visit, seeing the birds, kangaroos, emu's and we even watched feeding of the two Lace Monitor Goanna's.
The Ipswich Nature Centre is a great day that does not cost anything. You can spend a whole day with the animals fo free! We have enjoyed it so much we have been back several times. However, visitors are able to donate a gold coin to help with the upkeep of the park and the care of the animals.
