Queens Park
I would give Queens Park in Ipswich 10 out of 10. It is great to play in as it offers so much.

The play area which is closest to the café is for smaller children and offers slippery slides, climbing area and a fixed model of a train. The next tier has a more advanced climbing area and then fun turning poles which can make you dizzy. The lowest area has the flying fox, more slippery slides and swings for both older and younger children.

The great thing about this park is there are heaps of places to sit and have a picnic; party or morning tea / afternoon tea. You can use the rotunda; tables or anywhere under the shady trees.

This park offers some great views over the city.
You are within walking distance of the Nerima Gardens and Ipswich Nature Centre. The Lions Look Out is an uphill walk from the park but not far.
With its many fascinating and diverse features Queens Park is far bigger than we thought. Recently, we discovered the Bush Chapel at the park. This would be a great place to have a wedding. Georgina had a lot of fun exploring this new place.

For more details on the rules for the chapel and bookings the general council number of (07) 3810 6666 can be called.
For something totally different take your favourite breakfast items and have a barbeque in the park. We did on Sunday and loved it. We were the only people in the park at first so we got free run of everything. A light morning shower didn't stop mum cooking up a storm while we ran amok. Remember to get there early though as the park gets busier and you may have to wait for a barbeque.
