Sutton Park

Sutton Park in Ipswich provides a totally different experience which sets it apart from other parks. It is situated opposite Brassall Shopping Centre off Workshops Street. There is a bicycle circuit, basketball court, skate and/or bicycle area and a children’s playground. The park is very large allowing ample space to run around and play an array of sports such as soccer and cricket.

We Love Swings! Let's Go!

The bicycle circuit was established by the Rotary Club educates children about road rules with the stop and give way signage and road markings which mum explained to me. This circuit can be used for scooters and skating around as well. There are paths that weave and curve around the park to take the children on a journey to each area of the park. One word of warning – take care. I did fall off my scooter several times so I would advise the wearing of safety gear if you intend to go fast and lessen your injuries.

There is a dedicated area that enables children to perfect there skating and cycling ability going up and down mounds.

The park offers all amenities, picnic tables barbeque facilities and a rotunda. There are well established trees providing some shade.

This park in Brassall is at 61 Workshops Street. Click here for a Sutton Park Map from Google Maps.
